Walter & Scotty — My Brother's Keeper
Various producers

I don't know why this album is not credited to all the Whispers, but I do know that it picks off where 1990's More Of The Night leaves off. My Brother's Keeper again employs a possy of young, energetic producers. Every song is a winner as the brothers are in top form. They share lead vocals on every song although Scotty really has the better voice. You'll love the naughty Dirty Dancin' and how it cleverly transitions into Heaven. For good old fashioned fun, nothing can touch the remake of I Want To Know Your Name. The featured players include Portrait (they've never done anything as good as Open Door), Babyface, and Gerald Albright.

More 1993 albums:

Earth, Wind & Fire — Millennium
Produced by Maurice White
By far the best EWF album since Powerlight.  Maurice and Philip are in top form.  Even If You Wonder and Sunday Morning are among the best songs they've ever made!

Babyface — For The Cool in You
Produced by Babyface, LA. Reid & Daryl Simmons
Babyface's best album to date.  He hits on all cylinders from the upbeat Lady, Lady to the acoustic When Will I See You Again.

Toni Braxton
Produced by L.A. Reid, Babyface & Daryl Simmons
A very impressive debut with a good collection of songs including Another Sad Love Song and Breathe Again.

Sting — Ten Summoner's Tales
Produced by Hugh Padgham & Sting
A fine album from Stings features Fields Of Gold and Shape Of My Heart.

George Benson — Love Remembers
Various Producers
An album that mixes all the GB genres.  Features the lovely Love Of My Life.

Keith Washington — You Make It Easy
Various Producers
Contains Believe That (produced by Gerald Levert) which is my favorie Keith Washington song.

Miki Howard — Miki Sings Billie
Produced by David Foster & LeMel Humes
Mike Howard is an awesome talent and she proves it with her interpretations of these Billie Holiday classics.

Gary Taylor — Square One
Produced by Gary Taylor
Better known for producing and writing songs for acts like the Whispers and Anita Baker, Gary Taylor shows he can perform to.  The best song here is Blind To It All.

Mariah Carey — Music Box
Produced by Walter Afanasieff & Mariah Carey
A better album than Emotions, it features two excellent songs: Hero and Anytime You Need A Friend.

Luther Vandross — Never Let Me Go
Produced by Luther Vandross & Marcus Miller
Usually the best songs on his albums are the remakes.  This is certainly true on this album.  The title track is Luther at his best.
